Website Designer/Editor, Cambridgeshire £18k - £20k

The post is part-time (20 hours per week), for one year in the first instance.
Salary - £18,000-£20,000 pro-rata, plus annual bonus scheme, 25 days holiday and pension.

We are currently looking for a web designer/editor with good CMS skills to assist our client in making a smooth transition from their existing website to a new and updated site.

The successful applicant will be expected to work closely with the in house web developer, and relevant teams/members to ensure that the content is up to date, relevant and suitable for purpose. Relevant support on the websites and CMS will also be necessary.

Main duties include;
• To maintain consistency and accuracy across the websites.
• To ensure that the content providers can publish information to the websites.
• To ensure with the users that the content placed our websites is appropriate and
acceptable.
• To design web forms based upon user and operational requirements.
• To maintain and improve the structure and style(s) of our websites.
• To administer user permissions across our websites.
• To respond to communications about our websites where appropriate and as defined in
the IT Office Communications Policy.
• To liaise with the relevant officers and department heads about the direction and the
aims of the website.
• To identify groups of website users (and potential users) and to examine their

• To create, follow and revise IT Office policies and procedures (e.g. database naming
conventions).
• To create and maintain up-to-date documentation of appropriate tasks (e.g. regular
tasks and changes to system configurations).
• To assist other members of the IT Office and, when appropriate, other members of the
college staff, especially during busy periods, in line with his or her skills and abilities.
