Security Cleared/Developed Vetting

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Security Consultant within a global IT consulting firm based in Reading.

Role and responsibilities
• Being the overall Security Design Authority for the system security architecture.
Managing a small Security design team, security processes, security technical subsystems and components, implementation and integration of systems.
• Take responsibility for development and presentation of security documentations
• Candidates will require SC clearance in order to function in this position given the secure nature of the projects undertaken.

Skills/Experience
Essential Experience
• 7-10 years experience of secure system design and implementation with some experience in team leading.
• UK HMG experience of accreditation issues of complex systems and familiarity with HMG Security Policy Framework.
• CLAS accredited or have the necessary experience to achieve CLAS accreditation.
• Understand the principles of secure network design.
• Ability to present and justify requirements for secure architecture to colleagues and clientscustomers
• Ability to deal with clients customers and supervise junior staff.
• Ability to write and complete proposals. And contribute to larger proposals.
• Ability to draft and present quality security related documentation.
• Ability to explain business principles of secure system designs in terms of business risk.
• Adaptability and mobility.
• Valid SC Clearance - Must have!

Desirable Experience/Qualifications
• Understanding and best practice security in ISO27001
• Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent in technical area would be advantageous

In return, a generous basic salary of £60k-£90K is available depending on experience + car allowance + pension + share options + excellent benefits package.
