Responsible for the management of the Reacher Terminal fleet inclusive of delivery of Reacher terminal to and from the MOD

Outline Job Profile
• Setting to work, system test and periodic maintenance to the complete range of PSL terrestrial terminals
• Provision of 24Hr telephone based customer support
• Terminal upgrades and re-test
• Occasional work in theatre

Primary Duties:
• Delivery and takeover of Reacher Terminals to/from the MOD customer
• Terminal CES Audit
• Test and set-up of the Reacher terminal
• Level 1 and 2 maintenance to the REACHER terminals and complete range of equipment.
• Provision of 24Hr telephone based customer support.
• Occasional work in theatre

Essential Competencies:
• At least 2 years experience of test and repair activity within a complex military development and/or installation and/or Customer support environment
• IT and/or RF and/or communications s engineering qualification
• Security clearance to SC
• Ability to work shifts and travel

Desirable Competencies:
• Comms engineering and/or IT based ONC/HNC
• Forklift and C and/or C+E licensed

Essential Training Requirements:
• Communications test engineering, design engineering and/or ILS/TLS engineering background.

Desirable Training Requirements:
• Knowledge of Skynet 5 specifically REACHER and/or maritime installations
