Commercial Manager, Hertfordshire £40k - £55k

Primary Duties:
• Employed within the Transaction Management function, the Commercial Manager role will be responsible for the preparation, negotiation, execution, and management of tenders and the commercial management of resulting contracts and other existing operational programmes as directed, including flow-down to associated sub-contractors, and support to the wider Telecom Services group.
• Primarily focused on Third Party Business.
Key Tasks:
• Manage and directs the commercial /contractual matters during the bid phase including issuance of RFPs to potential subcontractors/suppliers.
• Ensuring compliance with all resulting contractual requirements whilst providing guidance and advice to the project teams.
• Provide guidance, support and advice to the project team to enable them to meet the company process and procedures including phase reviews and vetting.
• Responsible for ensuring that all commercial/contractual risks are reported and managed within the project(s).
• Provide commercial management support to the placing of subcontracts ensuring maximum flow down of the prime contract terms and ongoing compliance with such terms
• As required, leads the commercial function in the negotiation of contractual agreements and changes on existing contracts and associated TLS contracts
• Liaise with the ASV export compliance manager to ensure export compliance within project
Person Requirements:
• At least 7 years experience within the commercial field.
• Experience of dealing with Government and a variety of international customers.
• Education to degree level or equivalent ideally including elements of law.
• Proven reputation as a self-starter, capable of delivering high workload without supervision and with attention to detail.
• Proven ability to achieve results with senior management through influence and persuasion
• Good negotiation and contract management skills
• Ability to have leadership accepted at all levels of the business
