Services Technical Security Manager/Consultant, Wiltshire £40k - £55k

Job title: Services Technical Security Manager/Consultant
Location: Corsham in Wiltshire
Salary: £40k - £55k + excellent bens

Primary Duties:
• The post-holder will be the client’s focal point of contact responsible for the management of all technical security issues; ensuring that they are addressed from the outset of any new project or service.
• They will provide design support and consultancy to achieve security accreditation, maintaining security accreditation through the life of the project or service.
• The post will also Chair the Security Accreditation Working Group, which is tasked with coordinating and reporting all aspects of security assurance in order to achieve security accreditation.
• This will involve the management of the production of Risk Management and Accreditation Document Sets, Security Assurance Cases and Security Operating Procedures.

Responsibilities include:
• Management of system technical security requirements throughout the project/service lifecycle.
• Provision of technical consultancy and support to the Client’s engineering function to ensure suitable security architectures are implemented and maintained.
• Delegated role and functions of the Security Assurance
• Co-ordinator as detailed in Defence Manual of Security (JSP 440).
• Managing technical security-related Change Requests and technical investigations.
• Reporting technical security issues and progress to the Engineering Management Team and Systems Engineering Working Group.

Qualifications and/or Skills
• Thorough knowledge of the Security Policy Framework (SPF) and/or Defence Manual of Security (JSP 440).
• Sound knowledge of crypto products and procedures.
• Degree level education.
• Good written communications and briefing skills.
• Pragmatic management style.

Previous Experience
• Manager or engineer with a proven track record in INFOSEC or technical security related activities.
• Experience in the MOD security accreditation process.
• Experience in dealing with the MOD, particularly negotiating with DE&S.
• Exposure to Project Management or IT Service Management.
