Job Definition:
Training Development and Training Administration of personnel deploying to Operation Herrick for the 180 Day Maintenance duties associated with Reacher Terminals located in Forward Operating Bases (FOBS).

Responsible to:
Training Manager

Primary Duties:
• You will be responsible for the ensuring the delivery of the following subjects by the relevant Subject Matter Experts (SME s) working within Reacher Setting to Work (STW).
• LOLER, PUWER and 17th Edition Electrical Regulations
• Air Conditioning and Environmental Conditioning Units
• Reacher Baseband Configuration
• Harrington Generator Maintenance
• Vertex 2.4m Antenna maintenance
• Requirement to deploy overseas for 2 x two month periods per annum for supplementary in-theatre training to cope with skill fade should MoD personnel not have been involved with Reacher Terminals for a period of time.
• Training Evaluation of Reacher 180 Day Maintainers and to aid in Reacher 180 Day maintenance in support of Client’s customers

Essential Competencies:
• Attended and passed a Reacher Med/Large Maintainers Course.
• Ability to Train MoD Operators/Maintainers
• Ability to fault find to LRU level
• Experience in operation and maintenance of transportable
• satcom terminals.
• CISCO and Passport experience.
• Desirable Competencies:
• Knowledge of UK MOD Satcom systems.
• ONC or HNC in Telecommunications
• 1.6 Essential Training Requirements:
• Transportable Satcom terminal experience

Desirable Training Requirements:
• Recent experience of MOD deployed operations overseas
