Software Engineer Jobs

Our client is a friendly, dynamic IT services company based in attractive offices in a prime location in Bristol, looking for a Java Software Engineer.

They require a graduate level Java Software Engineer to work as part of the team responsible for developing their new product.

Main responsibilities will include:
• Development of Web Based customer facing application.
• Development of techniques to capture Web based customer feedback.
• Development of other back-end analysis capabilities.

The candidate will report directly to the Software Development Manager, and expected at minimum to provide weekly updates.

Essential Skills for the Java Software Engineer
• Excellent programming skills in Java – Object Oriented Analysis and Design
• Excellent hands-on development and problem solving skills
• Experience of J2EE, Struts, JSP, Servlets, Taglibs
• Experience of working with Database, MySQL preferable.
• Experience of collaborative development – version control, documentation.

Education & Training

• Minimum 2:1 degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent.
• Sun Certified Java Programmer (SCJP) preferable.
