Systems Testing Jobs

Our client is a friendly, dynamic IT services company based in attractive offices in a prime location in Bristol, looking for a Systems Tester.

Key responsibilities:
• Follow the department’s test strategies and plans are followed and provide regular updates to Test Lead’s/Head Of Testing and Project Managers.
• Design and produce test cases and scripts for complex technical and business solutions.
• Identify, raise and analyse defects.
• Report and escalate issues if required.
• Report the status of test execution throughout the project and on project completion, via verbal and written reports.
• Build, manage and maintain effective day-to-day relationships with IM groups, third party suppliers and the Business Streams to facilitate the effective delivery of quality-driven projects.

Knowledge, Experience, Skills
• Educated to degree level or equivalent in science or engineering based subject
• Formal qualifications in testing (Foundation level of ISEB Software Testing or equivalent) – desirable
• Excellent communications skills, Effective and logical communication skills in English, both written and verbal
• Manual functional testing experience is imperative with some tool knowledge such as Quality Centre, QTP etc.
• Knowledge of SQL, databases, .Net, J2EE and SOA Web Services (Desirable)
• Experience of V-model and Agile Test methodologies
