Title: Principle Algorithms Engineer
Location: Hertfordshire

Job role: Providing technical leadership in developing leading wireless products and transfer system level concepts into top level architectures. Implementing feasible designs along with participating in prototyping exercises to generate new product concepts.

Key responsibilities:
• Stimulate and specify algorithms and system designs.
• Perform feasibility studies of new product concepts.
• Construct link level and network layer simulations.
• Link budget calculation and network layer simulations.
• Track wireless standard updates and evaluate their impact.
• Provide technical support for customer facing activities.
• Develop algorithms tools and software in Matlab and C/C++.
• Specify and refine the design and development flow.
• Evaluate design trade-offs considering the architectural constrains.
• Support all stages of product implementation (RF, DSP and FPGA).
• Define module-level and system-level test specifications & procedures.
• Study new development tools, methods and technologies in order to acquire knowledge and co
petency within these areas.
• Develop and deliver presentations to transfer technical knowledge within the teams.
• Lead and supervise team members to achieve department goals.
• Prototype new algorithms/technologies on DSP and FPGA Platform.
